Krua Thai Imbiss is a small Thai takeout spot tucked into the busy stretch of Dachauer Str., close to Munich’s main station. It’s not designed for lingering over a meal inside-the interior is compact with limited seating, closely packed tables, and simple chairs that prioritize function over comfort. Because of this, many visitors opt to grab their food to go, especially during lunchtime rush hours when space feels tight.

The kitchen here leans into authentic, home-style Thai cooking, with a menu that includes classics like red curry, Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, and papaya salad. Portions tend to be generous and satisfying, making it a solid choice for anyone looking for a filling meal with genuine Thai flavors without fuss. The dishes often carry the right balance of spice and richness-popular picks include the Pad Kra Pao and green curry, which reflect a careful attention to traditional preparation.

The atmosphere inside is straightforward and casual, resembling more of a quick-stop canteen than a sit-down restaurant. Expect the usual mix of cozy crowding and the aromatic bustle typical of small eateries focused on fast service. Some find the combination of tight seating and kitchen smells a bit much for dining in, which reinforces its identity as a convenient takeout hub.

This place suits those who want authentic Thai flavors on the go or a quick bite near the central station. It works well for locals and travelers who value the food itself more than the dining ambiance and don’t mind skipping formal service. Visiting outside peak hours can help avoid the busiest times, making it easier to find a spot to eat inside or pick up your order without a long wait.

Some of the most authentic Thai food I’ve tried in Munich. The Pad Kra Pao was genuinely delicious. The huge drawback here is the horrendous atmosphere (bad smells, tight seating arrangement, uncomfortable chairs). I would personally recommend taking the food away, because it is genuinely delightful.

Krua Thai Imbiss is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu offers a fantastic array of authentic Thai dishes, each bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the Pad Thai; it’s perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. The green curry is also a must-try, rich and creamy with fresh ingredients. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Whether you're a Thai food lover or trying it for the first time, Krua Thai Imbiss is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to come back!

The place is very small, so they cannot host many people at the same time. Since it is an imbiss, it is fine. The interior feels friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is nice and simple. The food was the highlight for me. I really liked everything we ordered, and the portions are big, so you will definitely leave full. One fried noodle dish was too heavy for me. Maybe that is just because it is fried, but it was not fully my taste. I am looking forward to coming back and getting the Pad Thai for myself next time. Just keep in mind that they accept cash only, which is a bit disappointing.

Casual family-styled diner that serves you hot and tasty food. The space inside is not too big so it may not be the most comfotable to sit inside. But for a quick bite in the vicinity of the main station, this is a great choice. The prices are reasonable. The rice and noodles were good, but they went really heavy on the oil. The Tom Kha Gai was nothing interesting---even a bit disappointing, would not recommend that.

A Thai restaurant run by a Thai chef. The place feels casual, not like a formal restaurant. You order, pay, and wait for your food, semi self-service style. There are various Thai dishes to choose from at a reasonable price. Tables may be limited during rush hour.

Absolute gem in terms of Thai food. As someone traveling to Thailand often, I must say this place serves very good Thai food. Service can be improved though, and it’s a small space so try to avoid peak hours

I recently ate at a Thai restaurant, and the food was really good. It tasted authentic and had great flavor. One thing to note is that they only accept cash, which can be a bit inconvenient. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning that the lady there can be rude, but I didn’t experience that at all. Everyone was nice to me and even asked how the food was and if I liked it, which I appreciated. The only issue I had was with the service when I paid. The lady didn’t give me my change-just 50 cents, but I was planning to tip anyway. Still, she shouldn’t have assumed and kept it without asking. Overall, great food but room for improvement in service.
